The ultimate guide to investing in property...and making a million!
Everyone's looking to get rich, and a lot of those people are looking at investing in property as the way to get there. But watch out—making money in real estate isn't always as easy as it might look. At least, not without Your Property Success with Renovation in hand, that is. Written by Jane Slack-Smith, a true investment guru who's put together her own multi-million dollar property portfolio, this is the ultimate guide to making the housing market work for you.
Loaded with no-nonsense advice to help you avoid the traps that so many would-be real estate investors fall into, Your Property Success with Renovation introduces a unique three-pronged, low-risk investing strategy. Rather than focusing on fast money, the book encourages a low-risk plan—find an area with above average capital growth, buy below market value, and build value through renovation—that will help you build a strong, profitable real estate portfolio.
With just two investment properties and one renovation put a million dollars in the bank within fifteen years is achievable, and mortgage broker Jane Slack-Smith is here to show you how.
About the author
In 2011 March Money magazine named Jane Slack-Smith “One of Australia’s top ten finance experts”.
However she did not start out with a silver spoon or an inheritance. She followed the path of many investors starting out, no money left over at the end of the month, no idea how to change that and no idea on what she needed to know. She read the books and attended as many courses and information, nights that she could. All this whilst she kept her day job.
Jane graduated as a mining engineer in 1992. She was one of the first women to enter the male domain of underground coal mining, going on to become an explosives expert training others in Australia and overseas.
In 2006, Jane was recognised for her contribution to the industry, being named in the inaugural Who’s Who of Australian Women. She has also been profiled in the ABC’s Australian Storyand was awarded the prestigious Churchill Fellowship.
During her time in the mining sector Jane built up a multi million dollar property portfolio and in 2005 decided that she wanted to help others do the same.
